This project was created to elevate Beluga Sushi Bar’s online presence by designing a modern, responsive website that reflects the restaurant’s award-winning fusion sushi and vibrant dining atmosphere. The primary goal was to attract both locals and tourists by showcasing the menu, ambience, and chef-driven culinary philosophy. The site also needed to support reservations, takeout integration, and promote seasonal specials.
Summary
Beluga Sushi Bar is a well-known name in Bermuda’s dining scene, and the website plays a key role in extending that reputation digitally. The project is significant because it transitioned the brand from minimal online visibility to a visually engaging, content-rich platform that aligns with its upscale-fusion identity.
One of the biggest challenges was capturing the dynamic in-restaurant experience through design. To overcome this, we integrated professional photography, subtle motion effects, and a color palette that matches the interior decor. Another challenge involved optimizing for tourists using mobile devices—solved by implementing fast-loading, mobile-first design and localized SEO to improve discoverability.
